The University of Cape Coast (UCC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Leeds to promote academic excellence.

The focus of the new collaboration between UCC and the University of Leeds is to promote the development of collaborative research projects, and the exchange of publications and other materials of common interest.

In addition, the institutions will hold exchange programmes for academic staff and students, and organise joint conferences and seminars, amongst others.

The signing of the MOU between the two top-tier universities took place on the campus of UCC, with representatives from both institutions in attendance.

The Pro Vice-Chancellor of UCC, Prof. (Mrs.) Rosemond Boohene, signed on behalf of UCC while the Dean for Global Engagement at the University of Leeds, Prof, Manuel Barcia, signed on behalf of his university.
