The University of Cape Coast (UCC) has held a two-day retreat at the Elmina Beach Resort to review the institutional progress, take stock of programmes, and chart a new path for growth.

The retreat featured a series of presentations from directors, hall masters and wardens, and the Dean of Students, student leaders, amongst others.

Addressing participants in the plenary meeting, the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Denis Aheto, commended participants for their dedication and contributions during the retreat.

He urged them to build on the outcomes of the retreat to ensure sustained progress and institutional excellence.

Though Prof. Aheto praised the student leadership for their cooperation with the management of the University; he was, however, not happy with the clashes that broke out between some members of Casely Hayford and Atlantic Halls at Valco Hall recently. He indicated that anyone found culpable would be dealt with in accordance with the University’s rules and regulations.

The retreat was attended by the Registrar, Provosts, Directors, Heads of halls of residence, the Dean and Vice-Dean of Students’ Affairs, the Head of Security; JCRC Presidents, Presidents of the Student Representative Council, Graduate Students’ Association of Ghana - UCC Chapter and Distance Education Students Association of Ghana (DESAG)-UCC.
