The Office of International Relations (OIR) of University of Cape Coast (UCC) has held a special dinner reception in honour of final-year international students who have recently completed their studies at the University. The event was to bid them farewell and wished them Godspeed in their future endeavours.
The annual event, which is usually laced with entertainment and fun, gave the finalists the opportunity to wine, dine and network before departing from Ghana. It was also used to present awards to the winners of the 2023 International Cultural Day Celebration.

The students shared their exhilarating experiences on campus and noted that the Ghanaian hospitality served them by the University was overwhelming and as such would visit Ghana often.
The Acting Dean of OIR-UCC, Prof. Samuel Bert Boadi-Kusi, in a short remark, expressed gratitude to the students for distinguishing themselves in their academics.

He asked them to be good ambassadors of the University in their respective countries so as to woo their compatriots to their alma mater. He assured the continuing students of the efforts being made by the Office to address their concerns at the University.
As part of the event, new executives of the International Students’ Association were sworn into office to steer the affairs of the association for one academic year.
The elected officers, led by a Kenyan, Adams Maru Kiplimo,thanked the students for the confidence reposed in them and called for their continuous support and cooperation.

The executive members are Balatrice Gifty Kerkula( Liberian) as Vice-President; Muojeke Chidera (Nigerian), Organizer; Edward Gartay (Liberian), General Secretary; and Philippetinga Tchangai (Togolese), Public Relations Officer.
