The Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. George Oduro has entreated academic staff of the five Colleges in the University to use dialogue in addressing challenges facing their work. Prof. Oduro noted that, as a University that prides itself as a centre of excellence, it is prudent for staff to formally write to management or the appropriate office for redress of issues.
Speaking at separate meetings where he was formally introduced to staff of the five colleges of the University, Prof. Oduro stated that his core responsibility is to support the Vice-Chancellor to achieve his vision, especially in the area of academic work.
He further noted that the office of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor comes with a lot of responsibilities and therefore through the cooperation of the Provosts, Deans, Heads of Department, and the lecturers, the University would be able to achieve academic excellence adding that "He who clears the the path does not realise its crookedness"
Prof. Oduro used the opportunity to express gratitude for their unflinching support during the recent elections which elevated him to the position of Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University.
