Heritage Christian University (HCU) has commended the University of Cape Coast (UCC) for playing a critical role in the acquisition of Presidential Charter.
With this milestone, HCU has become a fully-fledged university.
President of HCU, Dr. Samuel Twumasi-Ankrah, expressed appreciation when he led a delegation to visit the management of UCC.
Dr. Twumasi-Ankrah acknowledged that even though the affiliation period with UCC was brief, there had been a significant impact on HCU's operations.
“The mentorship we received from UCC was instrumental in strengthening our structures and quality assurance, leading to this prestigious recognition,” he stated.

He further noted that HCU now had one of the best libraries in Ghana, which was an indication of their fruitful relationship with UCC.
In response,Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Johnson Nyarko Boampong, noted that UCC was committed to providing top-notch services through the Institutional Affiliation Office.
"Our mentorship approach is one of mutual benefit. We guide our affiliate institutions to maintain national and global standards, ensuring they produce graduates who can make a societal impact," Prof. Boampong stated.
He also assured HCU of continued support, despite both institutions now being chartered universities.
Dr. Twumasi was accompanied by the Vice-President of HCU, Prof. Williams Abayaawien Atuilik and Registrar of HCU, Dr. Christopher Akwaah-Mensah.
Present at the meeting were the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Denis Aheto; Registrar, Gideon Enoch Abbeyquaye (Esq); Head of Department of Animal Science, Prof. Julius Kofi Hagan; and Head of Institutional Affiliation Office, Dr. Justice K. G. A. Boateng.
