The College of Distance Education (CoDE) has donated photocopier machine to the University Primary School.

The donation follows a request by the school to CoDE for a photocopier machine.

The Provost of CoDE, Prof. Isaac Galyuon, who presented the equipment on behalf of CoDE at a short ceremony, said the donation was to help promote teaching and learning in the school. He thanked his two predecessors - Prof. George K. T. Oduro, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, and Prof. Nelson Buah, the immediate past Pro-Vice-Chancellor, for their immense support towards the donation.

Prof. Galyuon urged the authorities of the School to maintain the equipment very well and use it for its intended purposes.

For her part, the Headteacher of the University Primary School, Mrs. Georgina Aglobitse, who received the equipment on behalf of the School, expressed profound gratitude to the leadership of CoDE for the donation. She noted that the donation was a "great relief" for the School and will go a long way to facilitate teaching and learning.

Mrs. Aglobitse appealed to philanthropists, academics, benevolent organisations and corporate institutions to emulate the kind gesture of CoDE.

Present at the event, held at the premises of the School, were the Head, Mathematics & Science Education, Prof. John Nelson Buah; Head, Department of Education Studies, Prof. Emmanuel Gyimah; Head of Academics, Prof. Paul Ahiatrogah; CoDE Registrar, Mr. Opoku Oku-Afari and Assistant Headteacher of University Primary School, Mr. Joseph Obeng.

Others were Head of Business Studies, Dr. Anokye Mohammed Adam; CoDE Finance Officer, Mr. George Amfo-Antiri; Mr. Robert Appiah and Mrs. Sika Ansah (Junior Assistant Registrars)  and a section of the School tutors and pupils.
