The office of the Vice Chancellor basically comprises the Pro Vice Chancellor's Office and the Vice Chancellor's Office. Offices that are supposed to report directly to the Vice Chancellor's Office include the Directorate of Research, Innovation & Consultancy and the Institutional Advancement Office. Each of these Directorate/Centre/Office, however, has its own budgetary allocation for goods and services administered from a Bank account set for the central administration. The Pro Vice Chancellor's Office also has a separate budgetary allocation.

The Vice Chancellor is the Chief Administrator and Chief Protocol Officer of the University. The Office of the Vice Chancellor is therefore regarded as the eye of the University and the first point of call for any august visitor to the University.
